As the CEO of OsoEco - one of the most exciting parts of my role has been presenting OsoEco’s vision, value proposition, and our team’s amazing talents to potential investors. I had this opportunity on Wednesday, March 5th at the Governor’s Hotel in Portland, Oregon - and I’m excited to report that we won the Sustainability Track at the Angel Oregon competition! We walked away with $57,500 - and a check that my husband endearingly calls “the Ed McMahon check!”

Katie (president and cofounder of OsoEco) and I couldn’t have done this without the support of OEN (Oregon Entrepreneurs Network). OEN has hosted the Angel Oregon competition for the past 4 years. People like Bob Ward - who’s posing in this photo with us - has been of our biggest mentors through OEN. He normally doesn’t walk around in this fabulous red garb by the way - though it would be fun to witness! There are several other OEN members that believed in us and our idea. It’s truly made a difference to our current success. We encourage any Oregon entrepreneurs to connect with OEN and utilize their great resources.

There was stiff competition at the event - like ENDOutdoor- who won both for their track (Consumer) and took the overall win of $150,000 - go Ben and Andrew! Another great competitor was Steve August, CEO of Revelation, who won the Technology track.

Our next steps are to continue fundraising to finish raising the $1 million we need to close this round. We’re scheduled to launch OsoEco to the public this Spring.
